Shortbread Cookies

Category: Christmas baking
Difficulty/Costs: simple/low
Number of people: 20
Ingredients:
  • 1350 g of flour
  • 450g icing sugar
  • 900g cold butter

Preparation:

Sift the flour and powder sugar with a flour sifter on your work surface. But the cold butter flakes on top. Knead until you get a smooth dough. Then make a roll of the dough and put it in the fridge for one hour.

When you take the dough out again, you will find it is pretty hard. That’s the time to slice it. Then mince it all through a meat grinder. The first centimeters won’t be as nice. But that will increase. Just cut it off and put it through the mincer again. Whenever you “dough strings” reach 10 centimeters, put them on the baking tray in different shapes.

Preheat the oven to 180 ° C and bake for 10 – 15 minutes or until golden-brown.

Every left-over dough you can use to cut out more cookies.
