Chocolate pudding

Ingredients:
  • 300g dark chocolate
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 12 tablespoons sugar
  • 1.5 litres of milk
  • 120g cornflour
  • 3 vanilla pods

Preparation:

Break the chocolate into small pieces. This can either be cake icing as well as normal chocolate bars. Mix the egg yolks with sugar until smooth. Depending on how sweet the chocolate use less sugar. Stir the cornstarch in ¼ litre of milk. Pour the remaining milk into a large saucepan and melt the chocolate in it. Put the vanilla bean in the chocolate milk. Stir the milk constantly. Make sure the milk does not get burned. Remove the vanilla bean from the milk and stir in the starch. Stir constantly until thick. Remove the pudding from the stove and stir in the egg mixture. Do not heat up again. Keep on stirring the pudding a little longer. Put it all into a bowl and cover with cling foil. This way the pudding will not for a skin on the top.
