Soljanka

Category: Dinner
Difficulty/Costs: simple/low
Number of people: 12
Ingredients:
  • 600g salami
  • 600g sausage
  • 600g poultry sausage
  • 600g bacon
  • 15 medium onions
  • 12 Peppers
  • 450g tomato paste (if you like tomatoes, add a little more)
  • 1 glass pickles and pickle juice
  • 3 tablespoons sambal oelek or dried chillies
  • 3 bay leaves
  • Broth - best here are stock cubes for rich broth, because the can be metered easiest
  • 3 tsp mustard
  • 9 cloves garlic
  • Sour cream

Preparation:

Choose a sufficiently large pot and place on the stove. Fry the bacon and sausage until it all is brown. Now add the salami and fry briefly. Add the onions and do the same. Fry until glassy. If they stick to the bottom of the pan, add a little water. Now add the pepper, tomato paste and garlic, and fry as well. Next add the cucumber, the cucumber water and all spices. Add 3 litres of water and boil. Add the rich broth and season. Best you prepare the Soljanka the night before because it tastes better when it had time to rest and then is warmed up. If you need to add more calories to this dish, you can serve it with cream or noodles. Before serving, add one tablespoon of sour cream to each dish.
