Ham Noodle Gratin

Category: Lunch
Sub-Category: Casseroles
Difficulty/Costs: medium/manageable
Number of people: 12
Ingredients:
  • 1,500 g of pasta
  • 1,200 g cooked ham
  • Paprika mix
  • 3,200 ml broth
  • 4 cup cream
  • 50g cornflour
  • 2 canned tomato paste
  • 4 tsp hot paprika
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Nutmeg
  • 6 bay leaves
  • 600 g grated cheese (Gouda, Edam)

Preparation:

Remove the cooked ham from the package and cut into cubes. Clean, wash and cut into fine strips the pepper. Use pasta of your liking and put uncooked into a baking dish. Sprinkle the diced ham over it and do the same with the pepper. Add cream, spices and tomato paste to the broth, bind with corn starch and stir well. Carefully spread the mixture over the noodles and sprinkle with grated cheese. Ahead of it all, pre-heated the oven to 200 ° C. Then bake it on the middle rack for about 30 minutes. Cucumber salad and green salad goes perfectly well with this dish. You also can pre-cook the noodles or use the ones from the day before. If you use uncooked pasta, the dish needs longer baking. Use cheese of your liking. Mild or strong, both goes well with this dish.
