Honey-bear: the unusual name sign

For this wonderful idea you need a large clay pot in yellow and for each family member a smaller clay pot primed in ochre. Using the ochre colour, paint two “bee stripes” onto the large pot and dab with a sponge. When the paint has dried you can draw on the sign and the door. The small clay pots are given faces – ideally using water proof pens whereby the cheeks are reddened with coloured pen shavings. The ears are made out of felt i.e. simply cut out and stick on. Then the pom-poms are placed on as a nose. Cut the ribbon to size, gather it in the middle and bind it with wire into a bow (for the female family members), twist the ends into spirals and stick onto the small clay pots. Cut out and drill the ply-wood hearts; sand the edges, paint and inscribe. Then thread all the small pots and hearts onto raffia/craft rope, secure into place with wooden beads and attach to the large clay pot. Tip: glue the wooden beads onto the clay pots to avoid them from sliding down. And finished!
