Windmills

To make a windmill, you will need a piece of foil (a thin piece of window foil or a stable foil from an overhead projector), a stick and wire. A square with 2 diagonals through it is drawn with a marker on the foil. The square should now be cut out with a pair of scissors and the diagonals cut from the edges of the square approx. 2/3 into the middle. Use a hole punch to make holes in the centre and on the corners. Now the foil can be attached onto the wire on top of the stick. To keep a space between stick and foil, you can use beads. This helps the windmill to rotate without getting stuck. You should now tuck the four corners over and slide them over the wire. Take a pair of pliers and twist the wire so that the windmill cannot fall off. Any painting or decorating of the windmill should be done before the foil is cut. You can use glass paints to paint the foil.
