Bath salts

If you let water from the bath tap run over this pretty bag of herbs, the herb aroma flows into the bath along with the water. You can mix the herbs by following the suggested herb mixtures or you can make you own personalised scent.

Material:

You need the following craft material:

  • Natural coloured or dyed muslin cloth
  • A thin ribbon
  • A pair of scissors
  • 1 table spoon of bran or wheat flour
  • For the herb mixture you will need: Thyme, lavender, lemongrass, rosemary, sage and strawberry leaves, mint, parsley and camomile leaves

Craft instructions:

  1. First of all cut out a circle of muslin cloth with a diameter of 18cm. Place a hand full of your herb mixture onto the middle of the fabric.

  2. Add a table spoon of bran or wheat flour as a water softener if you require. You then pull the bag together and tie it closed with the ribbon at the top.

  3. Now tie the ribbon into a little bow so that the bag can be hung onto the tap.
