Bird biscuits

bird biscuits

So that the birds do not starve over the winter you can bake some biscuits for our feathered friends.

Material:

You will need the following materials:

  • Suet (available at the butchers)
  • Bird feed (from pet stores)
  • String
  • Moulds for biscuits (heart, star, flower or animals….)
  • Aluminium foil
  • A wooden board

How to make the biscuits without baking!

  1. Warm up the suet until it is fluid.

  2. Place the string through the moulds are tie a knot.

  3. Cover up the bottom if the moulds with aluminium foil so that nothing can fall out later.

  4. The moulds are now place on a wooden board and are filled up to a third with suet.

  5. The rest of the moulds are then filled with bird feed.

  6. A little more suet is then poured over the top.

  7. The snacks should be cooled in the fridge.

  8. Make sure to remove the foil before hanging them up.

This is how quick it is to make the biscuits and you will see that the birds will really appreciate them.
