Material:

  • Sanded battens
  • Angle or wooden dowels
  • Artificial turf or wood panels as the flooring
  • Drill
  • Screwdrivers
  • Glue
  • Thin wooden slats

The idea for a Mobile bare feet park is simple. Prepare a few stackable crates, lay them out next to each other and connect them with a string. That will create the walkway for you bar footed park. In each box use different materials, such as gravel, wood, bark, sand, polystyrene, etc. and place it in the boxes. Already you’ve got a first class bar foot park.

All you need to do is, construct the boxes, collect the necessary materials and away you go. The boxes you can store somewhere and get them out again for the next community event.

The boxes are fairly simple to build. Saw the battens to a size of 50x50 cm or bigger and sand the corners. Using wooden angles or wooden dowels, secure the battens on all four sides. Then nail the artificial turf to the bottom of your frame. Attach two wooden handles at the sides. Drill two holes to the sides of the frame so you can tie it with a rubber band. If you want it more stable, but also a little bit harder to build, you use a piece of timber for the bottom of the frame and then put the artificial turf on top.
