Puppet teddy

Puppet Teddy

Material:

Coloured card, 5 butterfly clips, beads and scissors

Craft instructions:

A teddy bear’s head, two arms, two legs and a body are drawn onto coloured card and are cut out. Eyes, a nose and a mouth are then drawn onto the teddy’s head with a black felt tip pen. Paws are also presented by drawing several lines on the teddy arms and teddy legs. Five holes are then pushed through the body; one at the top, one each at the left and right upper sides and one each at the lower left and right sides. This also takes place on the relevant parts of the teddy’s arms and legs. The head, arms and legs are then fixed to the body with butterfly clips. On the reverse side of the teddy, slightly above the butterfly clip, another hole is pushed through and the two arms are attached with a piece of thread. The teddy’s legs are also attached in the same way. The next step is to tie a further thread in the middle of the thread which runs between the two arms. This thread is then led straight down and is also tied to the thread which runs between the legs. Leaving a good piece free, the thread is cut and a bead is tied to the end.
