Spinach Bacon Dog Biscuits

For healthy and tasty alternatives for your 4-legged friends, today we will bake spinach-bacon biscuits. For preparation we need 100g frozen spinach, 50g bacon finely chopped, 100g rye flour, 100g spelt flour, 50g skimmed milk powder, 1 egg, 50ml sunflower oil, 50ml meat stock, baking paper, one knife and one bowl.

Firstly, mix the rye flour, spelt flour, skimmed milk powder and the cubes of bacon in a bowl. Squeeze the water out of the defrosted spinach and mix well with the sunflower oil, the meat stock and the egg. Then add the flour-bacon mixture and quickly knead into dough. The dough needs to now rest for an hour in the fridge; for this reason this we roll the dough out flat and make two long rolls out of it. Then place uncovered into the fridge. Thereafter the dough-rolls are cut into slices approx. 0.5cm thick, and baked for 15-20 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius; preheat the oven when taking the dough out of the fridge.
