The skirmish in 2 PACt Land

Standard tasks

These tasks are carried out directly with the game leaders. One of the tasks must performed by the group whenever one of these special areas are found. This must be completed before the advantages of the discovered place can be used. The kids must deal with finding any utensils themselves.

Woods

  1. Collect a large amount of wood
  2. 100 knee bends
  3. Fetch 3 really big logs
  4. 3 minute handstand
  5. 20 x clamp sit ups (stand up back to back)

Quarry

  1. Fetch a large amount of little stones
  2. 100 press ups
  3. Fetch 3 very large rocks
  4. 40 somersaults
  5. 100 leap frogs

Brewery

3 pitchers of iced tea have to be drunk in order to get the brewery up and running. The player at the top of the table pours the tea and passes it along. None may be spilled otherwise there is a penalty pitcher.

Library

A riddle from the game leader must be solved

  1. Who can speak every language? (An echo)
  2. He has married many women but has never been married. Who is he? (A preacher)
  3. When does falling not hurt? (Falling asleep)

Special tasks

There is a pool of leaders (a place where lots of leaders are) for these tasks. The kids must go to this area to solve the tasks. They tell the leader which field they are on and then perform the task with the leader.

Plenty of ladies

The kids must convince the ladies to go with them by using 10 corny chat-up lines. The cornier the line the better...

Mines

In order to start operation of the mine, stones must be transported up a hill by using a go-kart.

Traitor (A4 B16 C14 D16)

The traitor has been thrown out by the blue helmets. With a bit of skill, the kids can convince him to hand over a map to a secret Blue Helmets hideout. Once the kids have the map, they start off on a treasure hunt. Instead of finding a treasure, they find a secret document which informs them that the Blue Helmets will be escaping soon.

The holiday home (B1)

The old man who lives in the holiday home is former sailor who is constantly telling stories about pirates and other rubbish. However, he seems to be a bit scared of water. He asks the Duke to safely navigate him through the flowing waters if he builds him a raft in turn. Once this task has been completed, it is possible for all heroes to cross the river.

The shrek donkey (C15)

The timid little donkey which always gets on people's nerves is, as can be concluded from the name, very similar to the donkey in the film Shrek. He urgently needs to get to the other side where he can fill lots of memory gaps. He asks the Duke to make up a rhyme and in turn, the Duke may cross the river unhindered in the future. This also applies to all heroes.

Ali Baba; chief of the thieves (D11)

Obviously young Ali speaks in a weird kind of ghetto slang, makes out to be so cool and is constantly babbling about stealing and who he has managed to con. Before Ali even speaks to the Duke, he wants to hear the secret password first: “open sesame” - what else of course?... He has discovered a cave which seems to be unreachable. He therefore asks the Duke to build him a ladder so that he can reach the cave. In return, he shows the Duke the hidden Kamasutra Pass which leads through the mountains.

Moss temple (A12)

Moss temple is completely covered in moss. Mo is known as the God of hazards and beautiful women. If you manage to put him in a bad mood, water flows over the banks of the river and blocks the path through the mountains. The Duke must therefore organise a ceremony for Mo to put him in a really good mood. All of the kids should attend the celebration and honour Mo the great. The planning is left to the ones who found the temple. Once this task is completed, the mountains can be crossed by all heroes but be careful of the Blue Helmets.

Munching the mallows (A9)

The kids have to catch marshmallows with their mouths. Once the challenge is completed, there are marshmallows to eat as a prize ;-)

The veiled owl (B11)

An old woman covered in a grey cloak claims that she is an owl. She hoots and turns her neck in a strange way. She poses a very difficult riddle to the Duke. If he manages to solve it, he receives a bonus knowledge point.

  1. I am there in the light of day but you cannot see me; in the dark of night I appear to you and I am your light. (Star)
  2. What can run but never walks, has a mouth but never talks, has a head but never weeps, has a bed but never sleeps? (A river)
  3. What asks no question but demands an answer? (A ringing telephone).

Mrs Holles’ deadly wool (C8)

The Duke has to perform a difficult challenge here which Mrs Holle gives to him: Matchstick games – he may receive a challenge twice but may not perform the old task; he must always perform the current task. He gets a ball of wool for crafts as a prize ;-)

The rattling snake (D6)

A slim lady slithers around on the ground and rattles with a piece of wood. She claims that she is a poisonous snake and threatens to bite you.

She asks the Duke 10 rapid fire questions which he may not answer with yes or no. However, the “snake” asks questions which tempt the Duke to answer with YES or NO.

E.g.

  • Are you a rich man? Absolutely
  • So you have lots of money? Certainly
  • Are you nervous? No (out)

If one of the kids (3 attempts) manages the task, there is one extra courage bonus point as a prize.

Rod the destroyer A11

He asks the Duke to help him with a difficult job. Rod says that he is a master in cutting, slicing and destroying things. He has a big problem. He has cut up an ancient painting which his grandmother owns and he cannot put it back together again. If the Duke manages this, Rod pledges to follow him and is now a new hero figure – the juggler

Appendix 1:

Taking care of the Blue Helmets a the Kamasutra pass

Dear troops,
Years ago, the first Blue Helmets were stationed in 2PACt-Land in the mountains and on the Kamasutra pass to stop battles between the Mohren in the lowlands and the Sarnen in the highlands after the return of the people to the former land. Due to the great work, which has not been given enough credit, peace has reigned over the meadows, woods and valleys for years now. The time has now come to trust the citizens in this region and open up the borders in the hope that the places which belong together will grow together. We told you about these measures last year and we will gradually remove the troops step-by-step. For our base, this means that we will remove 9 of the heroes stationed with this regiment at 19.30 this year. The regiment of the hero of Bern will then observe and analyse the developments caused by opening the border. Should they discover that the people of 2PACt-Land is capable of living peacefully with each other; the hero of Bern will makes preparations together with his regiment to hand the base over the folk as a holiday village and will also leave this year at 19.00. The hero of Bern’s regiment will leave the barracks at 15.30 and leave the Kamasutra pass. They are requested to report punctually at the gate to mole hill mountain in order to be transported home.

I would like to take this opportunity, in the name of the superiors, to acknowledge your work and show appreciation for everything you have achieved “fantastic!”
