On the run
Do you know the film “On the Run” with Harrison Ford? I really enjoyed the film. It was exciting and well made. Do you believe that you could also be in his position? Can you imagine that you would be on the run? What do you sometimes run away from?
There were also people in the bible who were on the run. Who knows some examples?
First of all there was Jonah. He fled from God. We know that it did not help him much and that he went back to God.
There was David, who fled from Saul. He had to go into hiding.
There were the people of Israel, who fled from Egypt.
Every escape means austerity, it means leaving everything behind and it means living with the unknown.
Every escape is very tiring – not everyone can manage that.
Which importance can the subject “escape” bring for you?
- Firstly: Do not run away from God – it does not help.
- Secondly: Run towards God and leave everything that is bad in your life behind you.
- Thirdly: Only run together with God and then you will manage the escape.
