Cat ‘Fasching’ costume

To make our cat costume we need the following: one white wool-overall possibly with a hood, or black leggings and a white jumper, fluffy black fabric, flexible wire, a plastic hair band, cotton wool, black kohl pencil. At the foot ends, the cuffs and the collar, sew on pieces of the black cloth (so that it looks very fluffy). Furthermore, cover the flexible wire with fabric and sew onto the ‘tail bone’. For the ears, wrap the black fabric around the hair band and; place two equally sized triangular pieces on top of each other (2 for each ear), stuff with cotton and sew together. Attach the ears (at equal distance apart) to the hair band using the glue gun. If the costume is for a younger child it is worth attaching a soft piece of elastic to the hair band so that it does not fall off or get lost in all the chaos. It is very easy to draw on whiskers – the best thing to use is a black kohl pencil.
