Christmas stars made of straw

The festive atmosphere makes it all the more fun if you can play an integral part with handmade decorations. Stars made from straw offer themselves on this occasion as they can be crafted with little effort.

The required material:

  • Straws
  • String
  • Glue

Ideally, all stars should have the same size. In the first step, the straw is bent in half but do not break it.

Subsequently, the straws are braided into each other till the look like a star. A piece of string is wrapped around a piece of straw to form a loop. Repeat that with every beam so that at the end the string, connecting individual straws, is relatively tight and, therefore, gives your star additional stability.

If braiding the straws do not work right away, you can always glue them together in the middle.

You can use those Christmas stars, not just on the Christmas tree but also to decorate the Christmas presents.
