Fence-post figurine

 Fence-post figurine

For the fence post figurine we need the following materials: 8mm thick plywood (65x 40cm), a fence post (11.7 x 94.2 cm), yellow, brown, white, blue and grey acrylic paint, a red coloured pen, a white lacquer stick, 25cm of wire (1mm thick), one half of a raw-wood marble (4cm diameter), 5 screws (3.5x2.5 mm), a drill – 1.5mm diameter and water proof clear lacquer. All the parts of the figurine must first be sawn out, the edges smoothed and the side holes in the hand and fish have to be drilled. Then everything can be painted with the respective colours. The cheeks of the teddy are painted with the red coloured pen-shavings; these are scraped off using the cutter and then using your fingers rub these shavings onto the cheeks. Thereafter, the snout as well as the wooden-marble nose is stuck on. Once everything has dried, varnish with clear lacquer and leave to dry. Twist the wire to be used for hanging up the fish into a spiral using the pencil; attach to the fish and then screw all the pieces together.
