‘Kasperli’puppet – figurines

We will need : Plasticine/modelling dough, two bars e.g. two broom handles with a diameter of 2-cm which are nailed to a piece of wood and can thus function as a stand, wallpaper paste, all purpose adhesive, white tissue paper, poster paint, brush, varnish, melon seeds (for the wolf –teeth),fabric for the clothes, yarn for the hair, florist wire for the glasses, a pair of scissors, a pencil to draw the clothes onto the fabric and two plastic beakers to wash the brush. Press plasticine/dough over the ends of the sticks and mould into the appropriate form (grandmother, big bad wolf etc.) after moulding into the appropriate shape, use the brush to create a nose, eyes and mouth and for the wolf, use the melon seeds for teeth and for the grandmother make the glasses out of florist wire . Thereafter, cut out the previously drawn clothes from the fabric. The clothes are decorated with tissue paper to make them look realistic. Then attach the clothes to the wood using the adhesive and leave it to dry out. Now things can get going. As the heads are made of plasticine, keep the figurines on the stand.
