Material:

5 chestnuts, matches, a hand drill and a black felt tip pen

Craft instructions:

For the little man’s body you will need two chestnuts. A hand drill is used to bore a hole into the top centre part of one of the chestnuts and the bottom centre part of the second chestnut. Both of the chestnuts are then stuck together with a cut off match. Two smaller chestnuts should be used for the feet. A hole is drilled into these chestnuts too. Now two holes are drilled into the bottom of the chestnut man’s body as well. The feet are attached to the body with two matches. A further chestnut serves as the head and the white part of this nut is the face which is now drawn on with a black felt tip pen. In order to attach the head a hole is now drilled into the top of the body. For chestnut for the head also has a hole drilled into it. The head is now attached to the body with a short piece of match. Two final holes are drilled into the body and matches are placed inside; these serve as the chestnut man’s arms.
