A colourful felt peg butterfly

Material list:

  • Red, orange, green, yellow and blue felt
  • Little pegs made from plastic
  • Black pipe cleaner
  • Red, green, blue and yellow wooden beads

Instructions

For a butterfly you will need a 20cm long piece of pipe cleaner. This is bent in half. You then cut a pair of wings from the felt and place them between the pipe cleaner. Make sure that approx. 3cm felt is left over at the bottom end of the body.

The pipe cleaner is now folded over on itself one or two times above and below the felt wings so that the wings are held in place. The feelers are bent into shape and two bright wooden beads are stuck to the ends.

On the underside of the butterfly on the pipe cleaner, a little peg is attached with glue. Now you can simply peg the butterfly onto a twig or in a bouquet of flowers as decoration.
