Painting a roof slate

Material list:

  • A roofing slate
  • Acrylic paints
  • Brush
  • Paper
  • Pencil

Instructions

Choose a motive which you like. It is your own free choice whether it is a flower, an animal, an angel or a lucky charm. Draw the motive onto a piece of paper. Trace your motive onto the front side of the slate so that the outlines can roughly be recognised. Now you can begin to paint your motive with the acrylic paints. It looks particularly good if you go around the edges with black paint afterwards. A very fine brush is best for this job. As soon as the paint is dry you can put your decorative masterpiece on shown.

A super version of this is if you place the slate at the front door as a name sign. For this you can write the family name on the slate and decorate it nicely. This can also be a nice idea for a gift!
