Scented balls

Scented Balls

These balls emit a wonderful scent and look very nice for celebrations if they are hung up with a bright satin band. Put together your own mixture of dried flower petals and aroma oils or simply buy a ready-made potpourri from a specialist store.

Material:

You will need the following craft material:

  • A thick brush
  • Paste
  • Polystyrene balls (from craft stores)
  • Scented potpourri
  • Satin ribbon
  • Multi-use glue
  • Needle and thread

Craft instructions:

  1. Use a thick brush to apply paste to the polystyrene balls. Press the short stems of the petal heads into the paste while it is still moist.

  2. The whole ball should be covered with petal leaves so that no polystyrene is allowed to show through. Leave them to dry overnight.

  3. Cut two pieces of satin ribbon to size so that they can be warppend around the ball once. Cross the ends over and stick them to the ball.

  4. You can now attach a bow to the top of the ball so that it can be hung up.

  5. Find a satin bow and stick it over the bottom of the hanger. This allows you to hide the glued parts and the knot.
