Station 13

Situation: Doing community service

Welcome! Perhaps you thought that doing community service would be less exhausting than the hard work at the mandatory military service. But that is a mistake. You work at a holiday hotel, where every employee is treated equally so you have to work in the kitchen.

Task:
  • Go to the kitchen and help. After fifteen minutes you come back to the station.

Welcome back! This year was hard but you gave gained a lot of educational experiences. Now you are ready to manage new tasks and challenges in your life.

For pupils from independent school

Now you pose yourself the question: What should I do?

What is your decision?

  • A: Do you want to begin studying to start a successful career? After your intensive preparation stage, it would be worthwhile.
  • B: You just want to make money and you are not interested in hard learning. Do you start training?

  • Answer A: Go to station 17
  • Answer B: Go to station 16
For trainees and 10b people

By now you have gained a lot of experiences. You have matured a lot and face your next decision:

What’s your decision?

  • A: You go to grammar school and afterwards you begin to study.
  • B: You go back to your old job where you gained a lot of experiences and earned your own money.

  • Answer A: Go to station 17
  • Answer B: Go to station 16
For workers

This chapter in your life was varied. You have no training and no chance to get a job at the moment. You turn to the employment centre but the employees send you to the social security office. You are happy; you get a job.

Your problem; you receive your salary at the end of the month. You need money up until then.

Task:
  • Try to get 2 € within five minutes. It has to be a voluntary donation. Convince people that it is an emergency. After this challenge, go to station 18.

Station 14

Situation: A year as au-pair

Welcome to Australia! The climate is still exhausting for you but you have found a very nice family with very cute kids. Fred, the youngest is going to celebrate his birthday and you should organize a party.

Task:
  • Decorate the dinner tent within twenty minutes. (materials: cloth)
    Afterwards go to station 14.

The year was very nice and eventful. You are bursting with energy and useful experiences. Now you are ready for new tasks and challenges in your every day life.

For pupils from independent school

Now you pose yourself the question: What should I do?

  • Get some wood from the forest (10- 15 minutes) Go to station 15.

You have managed your mandatory military service. We are proud. Now you are back in your every day life. You have to face new challenges.

Station 16a

Now you can earn lot of money. Unfortunately you spend a lot of your money on your girlfriend/ boyfriend.

Big events are approaching! Your wedding savings are overflowing with money. Your wedding day is in close reach. You lucky guy! You have the chance to get married. You should propose to her/him.

Task:
  • You have 5 minutes to think about the proposal and what you want to say. You recite your proposal to a tree. (The whole group recites the proposal and a staff member assesses the speech)

Congratulations! She/he has said “yes” to your proposal. After a nerve-racking marriage you want to celebrate your wedding. There is a big banquet.

Station 16b

Situation: training for pupils from independent schools

Super, due to the fact that your final exam was good, you have three opportunities;

What is your decision?

  • Policeman
  • Bank clerk
  • Pilot

Your training is going well (1, 2 and 3). You earn a lot of money and you find the perfect man/woman.

Big events are approaching! Your wedding savings are overflowing with money. Your wedding day is in close reach. You lucky guy/girl! You have the chance to get married. You should propose to her/him.

Task:
  • You have 5 minutes to think about the proposal and what you want to say. You recite your proposal to a tree. (The whole group recites the proposal and a staff member assesses the speech)

Congratulations! She/he has said “yes” to your proposal. After a nerve-racking marriage you want to celebrate your wedding. There is a big banquet.

Station 17

Situation: Your studies

You have found a place to study and have the choice between medicine and law.

What is your decision?

  • A: Medicine
  • B: Law

Your studies are hard but are coming to an end. Your final exam comes closer. It is the time to show that you are ready to work.

Task:
  • Answer A: Bandage the arms of two members of your group. Use sticks and bandages. (Five minutes, a employee assess your work)
  • Answer B: Divide your group into two teams and discuss a law case. One group represents pro arguments the other contra arguments. One group defends a young man and the other group represents the scholar. (The group has five minutes to think about the case and five minutes to carry out the process)

If two groups are at this station, they fight against each other.

You have solved task A: The patient has survived. You got a good job as doctor in a hospital

You have solved task B: You have managed the test and got your dream job in a chancellery.

Station 18

Situation: Hard work

You have worked for a month and now you get your salary. You have bad luck, because you have found your dream woman/man and have to pay for your marriage. So you need a second job to hold your standard of living. You choose to work on a building site.

Task: A wheelbarrow race

Big events are approaching! Your wedding savings are overflowing with money. Your wedding day is in close reach. You lucky guy/girl! You have the chance to get married. You should propose to her/him.

Task:
  • You have 5 minutes to think about the proposal and what you want to say. You recite your proposal to a tree. (The whole group recites the proposal and a staff member assesses the speech)

Station 19

Situation: Dream job

You job is fantastic. It’s what you always wanted. Money is flowing and you don’t have any more financial worries. Your luck is rounded off by finding your dream woman/man.

Big events are approaching! Your wedding savings are overflowing with money. Your wedding day is in close reach. You lucky guy/girl! You have the chance to get married. You should propose to her/him.

Task:
  • You have 5 minutes to think about the proposal and what you want to say. You recite your proposal to a tree. (The whole group recites the proposal and a staff member assesses the speech)

Congratulations! She/he has said “yes” to your proposal. After a nerve-racking marriage you want to celebrate your wedding. There is a big banquet.

Situation: banquet

It is important that the employees prove if the teens are at the right station. There is a note on the cards.

  • Not in top financial form
  • You have no money for a luxury wedding (you get a yogurt)
  • Time goes by and the first wedding anniversary comes closer. Your wife/husband wants to go to Paris on a romantic weekend trip.
  • The problem: You and your mates planned a trip to Majorca ages ago. Unfortunately both trips overlap. What is your priority? Are you going on a weekend trip to Paris or do you go to Majorca with your mates?
  • It is a dilemma

What is your decision?

  • A: Are you going with your husband/wife on the weekend trip to Paris?
  • B: Are you going with your mates on a trip to Majorca?

  • Answer A: Go to station 21
  • Answer B: Go to station 22

Station 20b

Note: It is important that the staff members make sure that the teens are at the right station. There is a note on the cards:

  • You have arranged a wonderful wedding reception. You want everybody to be happy and you do your best to reach the goal. (The group gets ice- cream)
  • Time goes by and the first wedding anniversary comes closer. Your wife/husband wants to go to Paris on a romantic weekend trip.
  • The problem: You and your mates planned a trip to Majorca ages ago. Unfortunately both trips overlap. What is your priority? Are you going on a weekend trip to Paris or do you go to Majorca with your mates?
  • In addition to that dilemma, you have the chance to undertake an advanced vocational training.
  • Your boss has said that it will improve your career chances.

What is your decision?

  • A: Are you going on a weekend trip to Paris with your husband/wife?
  • B: Are you travelling to Majorca with your mates?
  • C: Are you going to do the advanced vocational training?

  • Answer A: Go to station 21
  • Answer B: Go to station 22
  • Answer C: Go to station 23

Station 20c

Note: It is important that the staff members make sure that the teens are at the right station. There is a note on the cards:

  • Your wedding reception was magnificent. (Highlight: the wedding cake)
  • Time goes by and you have forgotten your first wedding anniversary is on the weekend when you and your mates want to travel to Majorca.
  • In addition to that dilemma, you have the chance to undertake advanced vocational training.
  • Your boss has said that it will improve your career chances.

  • A: Are you travelling to Majorca with your mates?
  • B: Are you going do to the advanced vocational training?
