French toast

Category: Breakfast
Difficulty/Costs: simple/low
Number of people: 10
Ingredients:
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract or 2 bags of vanilla sugar
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • 10 slices of toast
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • Maple syrup

Preparation:

Whisk eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon together in a shallow bowl. Alternatively, you can use a soup bowl as well as long as it all fits. Now dip the toast with both sides in the mixture. If you want, you can soak it for a moment. Next, put your toast in a non-stick pan with melted butter. Bake on both sides for 2 - 3 minutes. Make sure you do not bake them longer until they are golden-brown. Nobody likes burnt toast. Eventually, you can serve the toast with a hint of maple syrup. Depending on appetite you should count for at least 2 slices per person. If you want, you can either decorate the toast with cholate or put melted chocolate on top.
