Ham and cheese croissant

Ingredients:
  • 500g flour
  • 500g cottage cheese
  • 500g butter
  • a bit of salt
  • 500g cooked ham
  • 300g grated cheese
  • 2 eggs

Preparation:

Make a dough of flour, butter, cottage cheese and salt. Then wrap the dough in plastic wrap and place for 24 hours in the refrigerator. Cut the cooked ham into small cubes and mix with the grated cheese in a bowl. Divide the dough into 4 parts. Roll it out with a pastry roller. However, before you do that sprinkle your work surface with flour. Put the dough on it and roll it out to plate size (diameter of about 26-28 cm). Then cut the dough with a pizza cutter or knife into 8 pieces. Spread the ham and cheese mixture on the wide side and roll up the pieces of dough. Cover a baking sheet with baking paper. Put the finished croissant on it and sprinkle them with the mixture of milk and egg. Preheated oven at 180 ° C for and bake for about 20 minutes. You might want to sprinkle the croissant with caraway seeds or cheese.
