Cheese salad with grapes

Category: Salad
Difficulty/Costs: simple/low
Number of people: 12
Ingredients:
  • 900g medieval Gouda
  • 3 heads iceberg lettuce
  • 300g blue grapes
  • 24 EL herb vinegar
  • 12 tablespoons olive oil (cold pressed)
  • Sea-salt
  • Pepper
  • Sugar

Preparation:

Remove the wax layer from the cheese. Then cut into equal cubes. Then place the cheese in a bowl. Cut the iceberg lettuce into quarters and remove the stalk. Wash and dry then cut into bite-size pieces. Wash the grapes, drain and then cut into half. With a sharp knife remove the seeds – or buy grapes without seeds. If all that is done, it is time to prepare the dressing. Mix vinegar and oil, then season it with sea salt, pepper and sugar. Arrange the lettuce on plates. Garnish with halved grapes and cheese. Finally, drizzle with the vinaigrette. This salad goes best with ciabatta and baguettes too.
