Coleslaw

Category: Salad
Difficulty/Costs: simple/low
Number of people: 12
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 heads of green cabbage
  • 3 large onions
  • 1.5 small cups sugar
  • 1.5 small cups oil
  • 3 tablespoons salt
  • 1.5 teaspoon pepper
  • ¾ bottle of herb vinegar
  • 1.5 bottles of mineral water

Preparation:

Cut the cabbage in half, then into quarters and remove the stem. Grate all the herbs. Dice the onion and add to the cabbage. Mix the sugar, oil, salt, pepper, vinegar and mineral water well. Make sure that the sugar dissolves properly. Make sure the bowl is big enough because when you add the mineral water, it will foam up. Put the sauce on the herbs and cover with a small lid. Put some weight on the lid and let it rest overnight. On the next day, drain the cabbage and serve the salad. Coleslaw goes well with all grilled dishes and several others as well. Leftovers can be kept refrigerated in jars.
