Quark casserole

Category: Dessert
Difficulty/Costs: simple/low
Number of people: 12
Ingredients:
  • 12 eggs
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 540g sugar
  • 3 Pack vanilla sugar
  • 240g butter
  • 2.25kg Quark (whether low-fat quark or mixed, is a matter of taste)
  • 240g semolina
  • 1 Pack. Baking powder
  • Butter for the mould

Preparation:

Separate the eggs and beat the egg whites with salt until stiff. Mix the butter with sugar and vanilla sugar and stir in a separate bowl until fluffy. Add the egg yolks gradually. Add cheese and stir. It is not necessary to drain the curd. Mix the semolina with the baking powder and stir into the quark-egg mixture. Finally, the egg white is lifted very gently to the cheese. This has to be done very gently. Take a correspondingly large baking dish, grease it with butter and add the mass. Bake at 180 ° C for about 1 hour Before serving, sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve with fruit of your choice and season.
