Tortellini salad

Category: Salad
Difficulty/Costs: simple/low
Number of people: 12
Ingredients:
  • 750g dried tortellini with cheese filling
  • 900g cherry tomatoes
  • 600g cooked ham
  • 375g salad mayonnaise
  • 300g sour cream
  • 3 tablespoons vinegar
  • 6 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 9 basil leaves
  • 1 bunch of chives
  • Salt pepper

Preparation:

Get a pot of water with a little salt boiling and cook the tortellini. Wash the cherry tomatoes and cut into quarters. Cut the cooked ham into cubes. Put the pasta, cherry tomatoes and boiled ham in a bowl and mix. Wash the chives and cut finely and add to the pasta. For the sauce mix the salad mayonnaise, sour cream, vinegar and oil; season with salt, pepper and chopped basil leaves; then mix well. Put the sauce until about 1 hour before serving over the noodles. If you want you can add finely chopped yellow or red peppers. Cheese as well goes great with this dish. If you do not like cherry tomatoes, you can use dried tomatoes instead. Moreover, the tortellini can be filled with meat. The salad is very easy, even for cooking beginners and not too expensive. You could also use meatballs or cooked sausages. For decoration or as a "filler" you can use boiled and finely chopped eggs
