Bacon beans with pears

Number of people: 12
Ingredients:
  • 3 canned pears
  • Approximately 1 kg of smoked bacon
  • 3 cans white beans
  • 3 ½ l vegetable
  • 1.5 kg beans green
  • chopped 6 Tl savoury
  • 3 onions
  • 50g cornflour
  • 12 bulbs per 150 g
  • Pepper salt
  • Boiled potatoes as a side dish

Preparation:

Remove the crust of the bacon carefully, then cut the bacon into thicker strips.

Then cut the onions into strips as well and put them together with the bacon into the vegetable broth.

Bring it to the boil, then simmer for 15 minutes.

In the meantime, wash the beans, then add them to the broth and cook for another 5 minutes.

Wash the pears, then remove the cores and cut into 8 pieces.

Boil the broth once again for 5 minutes, then add the pear slices.

Season with salt and pepper the way you like it to give it its savoury taste.

Next, take a little bit of cold water and dissolve the cornstarch, then add it to the broth as well.

Take some cold water and dissolve the cornstarch in it before it is added to bind to the broth.

Tip: boiled potatoes go well with the green beans and pears.
