Baked meatloaf

Category: Lunch
Sub-Category: Meat dishes
Difficulty/Costs: light / moderate
Number of people: 12
Ingredients:
  • 12 slices of meatloaf
  • 225 g Edam cheese
  • 3 small canned tomato paste
  • Dill, lemon juice
  • 4 sour, large apples

Preparation:

Take the tomato sauce and put some on each slice of meatloaf. Make sure the tomato paste is on both sides.

Grate the apples coarsely; do not remove the skin. Then add a little lemon juice so that the apples do not get brown.

Sprinkle the apple over the meatloaf, then cover with cheese.

Preheat the oven to 200 ° C and bake meatloaf for 15 minutes. If you put it on the grill, then the cheese gets nicely brown and crisp.

Before serving, garnish with a little bit of dill. This dish goes well with mashed potatoes, steamed onion butter potatoes, endive or lettuce.
