Cutlets Berlin style

Category: Lunch
Sub-Category: Meat dishes
Difficulty/Costs: medium / moderate
Number of people: 12
Ingredients:
  • 3 kg mixed minced meat
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 3 onions
  • 6 eggs
  • 3 old rolls
  • 3 tablespoons mustard
  • curry spice
  • Paprika spice
  • 3 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 ½ tsp cumin crumbled
  • Pepper salt
  • bread crumbs

Preparation:

First cut the onions and garlic in small cubes. Then crush the garlic in a little bit of salt. Soak the old rolls in a bit of lukewarm water. As soon as they have absorbed the water, squeeze as much as possible water out again.

Then mix all remaining ingredients properly with the onions, garlic and breadcrumbs. If the meat batter is still too thin, add a bit more breadcrumbs.

From the meat mass form, equally sized meatballs put them into hot oil and fry them until crisp and brown.

Berliner meatballs, French fries, or fried potatoes go excellently well with this dish.
