Spanish Fricco

Category: Grill
Difficulty/Costs: normal / moderate
Number of people: 12
Ingredients:
  • 540 g pork
  • 540 g beef
  • about 2 kg of potatoes
  • 18 tablespoons red wine
  • 12 onions
  • 12 tablespoons margarine
  • 12 tablespoons flour
  • 1 ½ cup sour cream
  • 12 meat bouillon cubes

Preparation:

Peel the onions and cut into small cubes. Then cut the meat into cubes as well, then fry it with the onions.

Boil the potatoes in hot water.

Now get a tightly shut pot, maybe a Sicomatic and put heaps of small margarine flakes on the bottom. Next, comes a layer of potatoes, then onions, meat. Keep going like that until you have used up all the ingredients. Make sure you finish with a layer of meat.

Now let everything cook on a low heat.

In the meantime, combine the sour cream with the flour and wine and stir until you get a lump-free mass.

Then add this to the layered pot, mix well and turn up the heat a bit.

Cook it, until you are satisfied with the smoothness. If it gets too thick you can add a little red wine; if it is too thin, just add a little sour cream. If you have no wine, a bit of broth will do as well. When finished, season with salt and pepper.
