Chili con Carne Gratin

Ingredients:
  • 1.5kg minced meat
  • 1.5kg potatoes
  • 3 onions
  • 3 red chillies
  • 900g carrots
  • 3 cans kidney beans (425ml)
  • 3 canned tomatoes (825ml)
  • 150g grated Gouda cheese
  • 450g creme fraiche
  • 3 tablespoons dried marjoram
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Herbs
  • Chillies

Preparation:

Peel and wash the potatoes. Then cut into quarters. Cook for 15 minutes in salted water and remove from the water. Peel the carrots, and dice finely. Also, peel the onions and dice finely. Remove the stones from the chillies and cut into small cubes. Drain the beans and rinse them. Heat the oil in a pan. Fry the onions and carrots. Add the mince and fry as well. Season with salt, pepper and marjoram. Add the beans, potatoes, chillies and tomatoes. Season it well and put into the baking dish. Sprinkle the cheese on top and bake at 220 ° for 15 to 20 minutes. Garnish before serving with herbs and chillies. Serve the creme fraiche in an extra dish, so everybody can decide for themselves whether he likes it.
